The British magazine of anomalous phenomena, the Fortean Times, has published a three-page article about otherkin in its January 2012 edition (pp. 44–46). [Arethinn]

The article appears relatively non-controverisal, though some have raised concerns about a full-page spread of the Otherkin Alliance logo, used with credit but without permission.

The article was good, but at the time of publication it was made known that neither the author, nor the publication sought or received permission to use the OKA (Otherkin Alliance) banner seen at the top of the article. If I can find any links discussing the controversy, I"ll link in the comments section of this collective thread. (Feb 2018)

Okay, I've read a lot of articles, but this is the first one that actually sees a connection between otherkinity and Doreen Virtue. A topic, I wanted to talk about so badly, but wouldn't have brought because - well, the thought of having magical powers of some sort might be appealing, the one of being on a mission... most likely not so much.

Similar concepts could even tie in with the Earth Angels/ Indigo (Chrystal) Children/ Lightworkers and whatnot, leading to some sort of physical shape shifting business (Angelic Humans). All things that contradict the definition of alterhumanity (e.g. altered DNA). (Feb 2018)
